Really great roundup. I really like navigation, which allows the user to easily find his way around RIGHT AWAY. Without wasting time on finding where exactly he should click to get where he actually wants because of such seeking users will just leave the site almost immediately.

I think the polargold looks good, not only for the design, but also because i think that kind of navigation will become more popular for the fact that is very mobile-friendly. A lot of mobile oriented website are starting using the vertical tabs navigation, because it can be touch-friendly and scalable!

I really love letter-press but sometimes I get the feeling designers use it simply because it looks nice rather than utilising it to convey another brand proposition. Every touch point needs to be as communicative as the visual identity, that means choosing the appropriate material and print technique. Some of these look like style over context.
